Hi,
Should be at Billing this year, although probably only on one day, as we've given up on the camping, now the show has got so big!
There are usually a few Z31's at Billing, and you never know...you could win a trophy!

Thanks for the reply, i will probably go on saturday and as for winning a trophy well if it did happen i would feel a fraud as i have done no work on it execpt put new suspension and bushes on it all credit would be due to the guy who put in all the work and got it to this stage, although when i get some spare cash im gonna put NITROUS on it. damn cant find the huge grin smiley

I will be running my Z31 Turbo at Mr Fs October Drag challenge round. Might even go in September to the "rain off" date to put in a bit of extra practice!!!!

Hi,Jez, I have alway,s been curious as to what the Z31,s are like,to own drive etc. somehow I,ve stuck to the 260z range but realise that Z31,s may have more modern day comfort,s,power and so on Is your car the silver one? If so, I think I may have passed you in my red 260.,in Leicester.............DJZ 60.

Hi,
They are actually pretty decent cars, if you get a good example!
The Turbo version is still quite a quick car, even by modern standards and great in a straight line, plus, the boost can always be increased!.....The weight takes it's toll in the corners though, although outright grip is very good and the handling is very predictable.
My car has stock suspension, but I'd imagine that with some aftermarket mods, it could be made to corner much better.
The Z31 doesn't feel like a very modern car nowadays, especially when compared to my previous Z32, but it can cruise along at 100-120mph all day if need be....on a private road of course!!;)

Yep DJZ 60, worth looking into. Just bring a pile of used banknotes with you when you come to Langley mill next, and you can drive away in one. And its RED, your fav colour!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Jez

You mentioned in one of your messages that the boost on the Z31 is easy to increase!! How would i go about doing this? I will eventually upgrade the turbo but some extra boost would be great :D :D :D until i can afford a T4:( .

Would appreciate some pointers.

Cheers

Carl

Hi,

You need to make sure that your car is mechanically sound all round before turning up the boost and a brake upgrade may be a good idea at the same time.
Apparently the stock boost is approx 5psi and this can be turned up to 10psi with a manual boost contoller and backed up with an aftermarket boost gauge, intake and exhaust!
See this thread for some more details....

I've kept my car stock so far, although I might make a few changes next year!
For further details of boost increases, it might be adviseable to speak to MrF, Mike Feeney.
