It’s a matter of perspective and relativity.

Can’t buy recon RHD 240 racks like you can for LHD. That alone is worth over £300. I paid £270 for a great condition 260 rack. And yes they are different. Early s30s had slightly different mounting points and lock to lock turns. So you can’t just get a 280 or 260 rack and throw it on.

A perfect 260z dash sold a while back for c.£900 (I know ‘cause I stopped bidding at £700); try finding a decent condition RHD 240 dash for under that these days.

I think everything you need, dash in great condition, rack, wiper assembly, scuttle, pedal box and bulk head panel would be about 5k now.

I’ve got a rack with intention of getting it recond and taking forty year old one off my 260,didn’t realise they were worth as much as stated

Some jokers are asking over £600 or more for a knackered one,plenty of mugs out there that buy them which puts the more expensive ones into perspective really
