I have been dealing with this chap for a few months now on a 1977 Datsun 280Z that has been sitting since 1989, it belonged to his brother who passed several years ago.

I finally went to look at the car today and made a deal on it. This Zed looks to be pretty complete except for an aftermarket radio, however there are a few areas of rust that I could see right off the bat including the battery tray and some rust in the hood. The usual suspected rust areas like the dog legs, frame, wheel wells all look to be in pretty good pic.

This car has original California blue license plates so it appears that it has not traveled outside of Cali.

This car does not run or drive and will need to be gone through. Plan on a complete engine service, clutch replacement, fuel tank replacement or flush, brake overhaul etc etc.

Rather than spend a lot of time and money to bring it back to life, I would rather keep the price low and move it on to someone who can perform all the necessary tasks to make it road worthy again.

I will attach a few pics below but as I said it has been sitting for many years and will need to be gone through. The car does roll and steer but thats about the extent of it. Over the next week i will get her washed up and take a lot more pics (100's) of the common rust areas but on the first day she looks to be in pretty good shape.

The dash has NO CRACKS.
Interior looks really good except for the speakers in the door cards.
Seats have no rips.
Paint color is blue from factory but is sunbaked.
Factory 5 speed manual.

This Zed is located in California.

Price is $6500 as she sits and as usual I can assist with parts purchase to load in the car prior to transport.

Regards, Mike

Nice work Mike!
That looks a very straight and original car at a great price too.
Good luck with the sale, I'm sure it won't be around for very long at all.

2nd car from the same seller today, 1985 Toyota 4Runner 1st Gen with 22R and 5 speed.

Also trying to buy a 1965 Buick Wildcat 445 V-8 and a 1961 Pontiac Ventura bubble top 389 V-8. Both are barn find condition for 30 plus years but in very original condition with very little rust and straight sheet metal......fingers crossed.
