It's booked in for 11 days but I've said I don't want it back until nearer the end of the month as I want to finish the red 280 first. They will store it in the showroom for a little while.

That looks nothing like the pic of the grey car above!

But still looks fantastic. More like a chalky white/light grey. Much better imo than a fridge/freezer-type bright white.

Just amazing to see this car come along John. Can't believe it was not that long ago she was sitting neglected for 20+ years under a tree with little chance of coming back to life. Beautiful work.

After a year and half I pulled the shell out of the corner and got moving on this one again.

First Job RHD conversion and I’ve made some good progress the last couple of days. Baulkhead plate fitted and battery tray removed. Test fitted the peddle box and server/master cylinders.

It’s is a light grey. Do know anything more specific than that. When the red car was being painted they had just finished a mk2 jag in this colour and I quite like it.

Your choice of wheels will make or break it. May I suggest not black ?

What would be your selection Sean?

I was thinking black but also maybe the same as my silver car. But I’m always open to suggestions.

This project has turned into a real stop start one so things have got to change. To get things moving again I’ve set a deadline for Donnington classic and I’ll be driving this one there.

I have made a little progress since the last post. RHD conversion fabrication is mostly done and I’ve repainted the parts of the engine bay that was affected. Also fitted all the suspension.

I’ve included below some pictures of the dogleg to show and original untouched panel.

Black wheels just seem to create a pair of big holes, yes lighter 'gunmetal' or silver-edged dark wheels to differentiate them from the tyre or more open spokes so as to show less 'mass'.

Or polished rims (again, to differentiate them from the tyre) : https://www.driftshop.fr/rota-rkr-15x8-4x100-et0-gunmetal.html
I realise this was posted a while ago now but this is what bugs me about my car when I look at any pictures of it you can’t see the wheels you just see black.

........a man of your talents you will probably have this and another finished by Donnington.
