Not quite sure what your comment means but guessing by your forum name you are from Cuba  which might account for the foreign terminology.

Anyway...........
moving on .......
Here are a couple of pictures of the shell in the final stages of paint and compound.
The guys are helping me get it back to my place on the trailer middle of next week.
So we are coming towards the end of this long on line saga.
Enjoy.....

And what I meant was hungry... for the engine, oh and some tarmac. And maybe a few euro boxes (read bmws audis and porsches) for breakfast. :-D

So today I brought the painted shell back from Bodymech's workshops.
The guys have done a fabulous job.
They even shut up shop for a hour to help me get the car back home on the trailer.
Top work all round.
The car is finished in Ford Frozen White using 2K solid colour.
This means that in the event of rally mishaps the paint can easily and cheaply be made good.

Here are a couple of pics.
I hope you have enjoyed the thread and that it has given some of you an insight in to the amount of work/time/materials required for a proper shell restoration.
I will probably return to this thread in the summer with a pic of the finished car.
Before then there is still a lot to be done.

well the intention was to take some BEFORE we pushed it in the garage.......
But MantaV8/Darren and Allan had to get back to work so it never happened.
And I cant push it in on my own.:(

I would think there is still a fair bit of work to finish it off but atleast it is all nice and shiny now and ford frozen white seems to be a very popular colour at the moment

Yep there is.
Probably getting up to 200 hours from where it is now to a turn key car with MOT and UK registration.

Having seen this in the metal yesterday, I have to complement you and Steve - it's a beautiful build. It's already stunning IMO, and I look forward to a finished car.

BTW, thanks for all the bits and the advice. As for those other two sets of items we discussed, I will be in touch shortly, so don't let them disappear anywhere! ;)

Almost there from the looks of it, I like the front light setup! I take it you've had to fit adjustable length arms on the front and rear to accomodate the taller springs?

These new pictures have given me some inspiration to get my ass in gear and get mine finished off, was totally skint after xmas so had to spend some time making money but can afford some time to get on with the car now. Just in time for all the ****** weather lol

No fancy adjustable arms.
We have had time today to set the springs to somewhere close to an acceptable rally ride height. It may well settle a little as we load up the final parts like seats spare wheels and fuel .
