Seats again.

So then piss takers. Am I wrong ?

Emphatically, yes.

MZR make their own bespoke seats. Originally inspired by the classic - period - Japanese 'Autolook' seats, they make their own base mouldings to suit their own sizing, and upholster them in-house.

Go on, ask me how I know.

For those looking for autolook seats, I was struggling with shipping costs, as the seat might be £500(nice ones seem to be about £900), shipping was coming back at £300 because of the volumetric sizing.

So you could be into circa £11-1300 per seat, plus possible duty and vat. If they needed 'work', they became just too rich for me.

Lovely things though.

I think they’re all coming back to the same “Autolook” look.

There’s too many's similarities to say that both the moulds weren’t at some point taken off the “Autolook” seat

I’ve no doubt that MZR have their own moulds made, why wouldn’t they.

Either way the seat I was looking for was the Autolook,MZR jobbie. I feel that’s what I’ve got.

Well chuffed, let’s hope they work in the car

Did anyone attemp to install Cobra RSR seats into a 240Z? I like the looks, they seem to provide lots of side support and are reasonable priced. Not sure if the mount low enough, though (and if they clear the transmission tunnel).

So I pulled the trigger and am going to be the guinea pig here. I checked all the measurements, they should fit fine and are a bit lower compared to the Cobra GT3 (and those fit but seem to be a bit on the high side for a 240Z).

These were what I was going to purchase - extremely cheap from Minispares in huddersfield a year ago too but when I enquired about them they didnt reply... Almost too cheap to believe.. and they have since been removed - I think it was 450 quid for a pair.

Let me know how you get on!

Not so cheap anymore - I paid around 600 € / pcs. According to the drawings, the base is 20mm higher compared to the stock seat. I hope this works out for me.

I'm 188cm, but right now the stock seats are on a single spacer (10mm?) and I have plenty of headroom. So I figured without the spacer I won't notice a 10-20mm higher seating position. Hopefully :D
