So, the cars still exist but the membership doesn't.....................
untill they tried to charge the exibiters, another piss take so i dont do car shows anymore
So hold it elsewhere..........should have kept the patent for the event instead of letting the Toyota club sell it to Greenwood (we started the bloody event with a mix of goodwood and the summer camp) and then The Z club would be getting money from every punter !
Red with Rover V8 was another car - magazine featured and (as far as I know) still hidden away in a garage up in Great Yarmouth - built by Graham Potter who worked for the magazine printers. See also link to old Z Club T-shirt designs.
Et voila...
'16 VALVE'
Wow, that's like - hang on, let me count - yes, two valves per cylinder!
Awesome!

just because he wanted toOften wondered what the point was - just for 190bhp when an L28 can give you that on 240Z carbs and a better exhaust manifold..............
toyota club never sold it to greenwood the facts are t
I did the last one that was organised by carclubs and at the meeting after the event with various club reps no one wanted to do the next one and it was not going to happen and to keep it going it was taken on by the organisation
The thing had grown to big for doing in spare time and no wonder no one wanted to do it
that last one took seven months of my time doing stuff on it every evening and to my that is far to mush of anyone's time to spend on organising an event
Graham Potter is my Dad! Hes in the middle of fixing up his Z! So keep your eyes open next year and you might see it around it got some dings and has been in storage for 15 years so its his project this summer to get it all fixed up Sarah x
It's the spring or summer 1992 issue. There are pics of it in front of the Pleasure Beach roller coaster. Worked with Graham for a long while before he left here many moons ago. Great bloke. Apparently the car has sat in a garage, at Graham's old man's house rusting away for the last ten years (According to our delivery driver fella, could be / most probably just hearsay). I'll put them up if I find the mag (it's the oldest one I own).
