whySteve, we can't answer because most of us have a Z.
what helps is it is the first person to put an idea of the bracket they would be looking atLooking around at specs, conditions and prices, I'd probably be looking at between £18 and £30k and then expecting to throw more at it to get it to the spec I'd want.....unless either :
a) I went from scratch with a clean import
b) saw a car +/- how I'd like it ready done
But does that help you ?
Wot you are getting now Steve is all these dreamers telling us our Zeds are worth ridiculous amounts of money due to more than one circumstance but won't say they would pay 40 k plus for a Zed,wot does that tell yer,my Zed is worth ? Any offers
You wouldn't like em for a pair of earrings with ears like that

That is a typical response from a French peasant that is classed also as a bigot cos it ain't a 240 but the much more rare and better to drive late 260.looks like I'll have to keep it now as no offers

Guy600N said:This topic is pretty entertaining. Do we not just think that they're pretty rare in the UK; the cars look stunning, sound bloody awesome and there won't be anything like it built ever again. I think you're all getting caught up on the finer details when really they're just awesome 'head turner' classic cars.
I thought this thread was specifically about the 'Samuri' entered (and sold...) in the SIlverstone Auctions sale at the NEC over the weekend?
Some potential confusion in the thread drift here...
I'm just back from the show and the car wasn't a great example in so many respects which I'm not prepared to go into on here in public. There weren't many bidders on this car, just one in the room and one one the phone I think, and that was probably because of the car itself, Samuri or otherwise.
I'd be most interested to hear more, but I suspect you're not going to go further...
Still, there was a post earlier in the thread pointing out that the car had 'appeared' a few years ago with a different engine number. The 'Super Samuri Register' *certificate* (ahem) even quotes an 'HLS30' prefix for the chassis number (whoops a daisy...).
Usual shambles then.
