Samuri for sale at NEC

Looking around at specs, conditions and prices, I'd probably be looking at between £18 and £30k and then expecting to throw more at it to get it to the spec I'd want.....unless either :

a) I went from scratch with a clean import

b) saw a car +/- how I'd like it ready done

But does that help you ?
what helps is it is the first person to put an idea of the bracket they would be looking at

Nothing - its a 260Z !

You wouldn't like em for a pair of earrings with ears like that

Little studs more like.

That is a typical response from a French peasant that is classed also as a bigot cos it ain't a 240 but the much more rare and better to drive late 260.looks like I'll have to keep it now as no offers

Probably because the 2 seaters were never sold here....can't desire that which we know nothing about.

Didn't mean to post 'I' above sorry.

This topic is pretty entertaining. Do we not just think that they're pretty rare in the UK; the cars look stunning, sound bloody awesome and there won't be anything like it built ever again. I think you're all getting caught up on the finer details when really they're just awesome 'head turner' classic cars.

I can't take mine to the petrol station without someone coming over and chatting to me about it, bringing back some nostalgia as their mate used to have one (etc. etc.).

That all equates to value to me.

I've seen a lot worse up for significantly more value... can we not just enjoy the rise in prices and encourage success in the market...... I don't know! :)

I don't see what all the fuss is about :

the price was obtained, others have reached high values - 'you' don't like it - tough - its fact and keeps being repeated, get used to it !

You'd all be bleating if they were fetching £14k.

This just fashionable Samuri-slap when in fact it should be welcomed. If there were other, different 'specials' on the market in the Uk or even throughout Europe, we'd have something with which to compare it - we don't except local market and personally imported cars in various states of restoration.

Mine was sold here along with the other 998 260z 2seaters,guy has a good point and if truth be know most Zed owners couldn't give a monkeys about the samuri thing anyway,so my point is if sum mug wants to pay silly money for one then good luck to em,but nobody has answered Burnsies question

I thought this thread was specifically about the 'Samuri' entered (and sold...) in the SIlverstone Auctions sale at the NEC over the weekend?

Some potential confusion in the thread drift here...

I'm just back from the show and the car wasn't a great example in so many respects which I'm not prepared to go into on here in public. There weren't many bidders on this car, just one in the room and one one the phone I think, and that was probably because of the car itself, Samuri or otherwise.

I'd be most interested to hear more, but I suspect you're not going to go further...

Still, there was a post earlier in the thread pointing out that the car had 'appeared' a few years ago with a different engine number. The 'Super Samuri Register' *certificate* (ahem) even quotes an 'HLS30' prefix for the chassis number (whoops a daisy...).

Usual shambles then.

Unusual for you to reheat a TV dinner Alan - quirky chirps off the menu then ?:D
