Samuri 260Z ebay

I can't see it going for over 30k. I'd hold off speculating till someone knows for sure. If it did its strange seeing that the white 240z on ebay only went upto 25k.

So Datsfun - choke on my exhaust fumes and stick to the saloon cars.:p
.

Cough cough ##..luckily the fumes are escaping before they get to the silencer. Must be a poor exhaust system fitted:devil::D

If the car has made £30k which needs to be verified, it does raise points worth considering..
1) is red more appealing as a colour?
2) the samuri pedigree?
3) it's a UK supplied RHD car as opposed to a converted RHD car?
4) Z farm restoration history file with bills > £25k!
5) ...

Im still waiting for someone to answer my question about the Samuri "pedigree" post Spike Anderson and by what mechanism he still hold claim to the trade mark despite "selling" said company.

Please, anyone, we have many Samuri experts on here, a little help if possible.

I think it'd be fair to say that the lhd to rhd conversion would be more original than the car in question, in terms of original % of metal.

I'm not sure i'd say the samuri is a pedigree, more a period style. To some it will add a certain something, to others they'd just judge the car on its own merit's.

There's plenty who would like to think that it sold for over 30k. What we have to remember is that it might have been the one buyer who hasn't done any research who has paid it and not indicative of market value.

Red is I think - yes.
IMO, courtesy of several articles both press and internet of Big Sam, the Samuri name has become synonymous with period ie oldschool/classic style Z performance so yes again.
Not sure that the current buyers put that status as a premium above a great looking RHD 240Z ....
Looking at the photos, it doesn't look like a 'nut and bolt' restoration so someone isn't being completely accurate in their description....so no.

And good taste, the buyer could have bought a whole variety of 'conformist' machinery for that amount and instead chose a Z.

Changes nothing, auction house are filled by spontaneous buyers who set their hearts upon a car - one either accepts the price on the day under whatever circumstances....or not...as a price guide for any sale !

If you're not looking for a fight ie to argue down any theory advanced, I would enter into discussion but otherwise not and anyone can call any number of cars Samuris if they so wish - I won't lose sleep over it.:D
