How much did it sell for on ebay last year ? It was a uk car in bad shape ? Was it re shelled or patched up ?

Obviously yes and done with a mind to sell - the speculators have arrived but they ought to move on from the red/brown paintjobs.

It was in pretty bad shape IIRC, and the poor condition was commented on in the original thread, it caught my eye because it had the Sam front air dam in the photos on eBay.
I might be wrong but I think it sold for around £4K at the time, Jay Dee would remember better than me I suspect ;)

Do we know who did the resto work on the car & is it too a very very high standard ? 110k that is totally ridiculous  If that fetches anywhere near that figure I will need to rethink my plans for mine ! with it being a superior car

If it reaches anywhere near that we'll all have to notify our insurance companies!!!!!

Yeah but the one have now is not a Samuri !!!! In fact what is a Genuine Samuri ? I owned CHL & that is when my total disregard for all this b*******t about Samuri's began. Its a myth !! Just need to convince the uneducated that a properly sorted virtually rust free car is the way forward rather than spending ££££ on the unknown.

I was so entranced by Samuri's once upon a time ! It was a big mistake but I managed to move on to better/more genuine things.

If the estimate is at around £110k, if you wanted to sell it quicker and without having to pay the auction fees, why not put it up for £100k ?

Car belongs to a chap called Paul Tegg.

He came with this car and a 280Z on a transporter with his two mates to Donington in May, and the car is in lovely condition

It was bought off eBay last year, I started a thread about it at the time, should have maybe not bothered with the thread and bought the thing myself :D

Whether he's taking a flyer at the reserve or has been advised of it's potential sale price, it will be interesting to see what it makes.

Oh and whens the next big auction...;)
Actually the other was a US Bob Sharp 260Z - Basically he was doing the same kinda mods as Spike - in his words "should be comparable to the Samuri"
The car is my best mates, and I proudly helped him with it-from the logistics for recovery, research, parts sourcing etc. It's an amazing story - and will make someone very happy.
I'm gutted - I asked for first refusal if he ever sold it (thought I'd have at least a couple of years to save up! ?!)
The auction house actually advised they wouldn't expect it to fetch less than 100k - likely considerably more. This is the Connoisseur collection after all.
Ultimately - if it sells in happy for him, "cos he's worth it"lol
But I've told him he's never ever gonna own another one as special as this.
Unless I find it first :p

If you read the brief precis of its history you'll see it's been "sympathetically restored" by the current owner who's been in the trade restoring (many to concourse) vehicles for the last 35 years or so. It has been a labour of love (marriage-threatening at times lol)
