S30 FAN

Hi, my Fairlady Z has a fixed fan. I'm thinking of adding a viscous coupling and have obtained one and the pulley. I now need a fan.

Does anyone have the S30 fan to fit the coupling and if so, please let me know the outer diameter of the blades and the internal diameter of the coupling interface.

I'm potentially up for buying one at the right price.

Anyone know if the 1975 Fairlady Z would have been viscous or fixed originally? Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. I was being lazy and hoping someone else would respond! My fan was in the 240z store - AKA attic

Hope the following pics help - just let me know if you need more - its off my 1972 240z. 420mm OD

1975 Fairlady Zs were specified with 4-blade fixed fans if they were Manual transmission, non-aircon variants.

Automatic transmission and/or aircon-equipped cars got the 7-blade fan with the viscous coupling.

Ah! That's interesting, so I have a 4 blade fixed so it's correct then on my manual non air con. Thanks for confirming.

The fan blades are approximately 330mm overall diameter, quite a bit smaller than the 240z ones being measured. I have a plastic cowl which I think may not be big enough for a larger fan...
