s/s exhaust

P.D. Gough used to list the 280ZX as an "off the shelf" stainless system to original specification - not cheap though! 0115 938 2241.

I've also had customers with 280ZXs have good results with Longlife depots who will manufacture on the car. Branches nationwide.

I had my s/s exhaust system made for my Mazda 6:D, whilst I waited@ MIJ Exhaust, in Walsall. They done a very good job, when my exhaust goes on my 280ZX, thats where I will be going.

Got a longlife exhaust fitted to my 260z 2+2, took the guy hours to fit but did a good job and at a very reasonable cost. They can do exhausts to your spec but you will need to know what you want. eg bore size, boxes etc.

Sean

I was quoted £350 for the system, four months ago.

Depends on what you want, best to get a quote from their website.

Hi Sean, I paid £615.00, thats with labour, and including vat, for the cat and twin pipes @ the back, in June 2011. I not saying they are better than anybody else, because i don't know. I went with them because there feedback was good, and from people from all over the Country. There web address is www.mijexhaust.com

I will pm my address shortly

Your welcome

Hope you and your family are ok.

Had a quote today from MIJ £295 inc vat and fitting 2,1/2 inch bore with 3 inch tail pipe :D
Your car is restored to factory spec; please don't finish it off with a boy racer 3" tail pipe:eek:

Just my 10p worth.

I believe my local custom exhaust place would also charge around the £300-350 range for full stainless exhaust fitted.

When people say system I think 'full system' including manifold. I take it you basically mean from the manifold back so a silencer and the 2.5m or so of stainless pipe?

Beware that a stock 280ZX engine does not respond well to an exhaust bore that is too large - power loss, not gain will ensue...

Modifying the exhaust system, (i.e. modifying the exhaust gas velocity by changing exhaust tube diameters) can detract from the "ideal" scavenging effects, and reduce fuel efficiency and power if not properly planned out and executed.

I've swallowed the wiki page, read more here about scavanging, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scavenging_(automotive)

I have a used one.
Can do pics at weekend if interested.
Cheap to clear.
As requested....
£60 plus some work will turn this in to a reasonable 280ZX exhaust.
Odd styling on tailpipes needs to go. this was joined on to an aftermarket 6 branch header ... not the stock manifold so work neeeded in this area too .
Casn n Collect only at the £60 price.
