RHD bulkhead conversion Andy’s panels

Thought I’d give you a bit of feed back on the bulkhead panels I bought fron Andy.
They are in my opinion very well made and makes the conversion from LHD to RHD easy.
He does a full bulkhead but I decided rather than cut out the whole bulkhead to use the in fill panel
for the left side and pedal reinforcing plate
I also used one of his battery trays that fits nicely
Now that these panels are available you only really need a RHD dash and a steering rack do a conversion .

Looking good Neil, what happened to the plan to keep the original paint on that car, the 'in' colour of the moment 'Safari Gold'?
It seems to have morphed into your favourite 'VW Magma Orange'
Is that the third car you've painted that colour:EXTRAlol:

Great stuff, I'm sure those panels will be popular with all the LHD's coming over these days.

Awesome news! I'm going down this exact route.... how hard was the conversion? Looks pretty simple from that picture! I'll be doing my 280z so may be a little different.

It’s fairly straight forward you may find if your using his pedal reinforcing panel that the servo bolt hole
Pattern might be different. (Think there is at least 3 different size servo) I expect the 280z had the largest servo?
You can always redrill the panel

Andy's pedal/servo reinforcing plate is patterned after the 73 onwards design, so has the later servo hole spacing.

I've gone the same route with Dixie, i.e. the left and right sections rather than the full bulkhead.

Neil, what did you do for the heater intake arrangements and the pedal box position (given the handed shape of the upper bulkhead/scuttle area)?

I cut the heater air intake stack off and re used it on the left side.
Had to reshape the scuttle above the pedal box for it to fit and blank off the old heater intake

Thanks, that sounds like what I’m planning. I ask as others have done differently, such as using the air tube to act as the blower intake and mounting the pedal box and thus bulkhead plate slightly lower.
