Rear strut brace

I’m fitting a safety devices roll cage, this one has a harness bar.

Question, is the rear strut brace needed anymore or is it now surplus to requirements?

have they changed how they're mounted recently? the strength around the strut would sort of depend on how accurate your bolt hole to mount ratio is?

Having not bought one from them before I wouldn’t know if they’ve changed, I would guess not.

Doesn't look like it(changes that is).

if you make the holes the right size where they pass through the wheel arch then you should be OK without a rear strut.
