R/H front overfender mounted on L/H front wing, L/H front overfender mounted on R/H front wing...
Is that like going to school with one's shoes on the wrong feet ?
Can't say I blame you, it keeps the pressure off. At the speed your going with the rebuild anyway it won't be too long.
The re spray looks fantastic! Top marks to the painter, hopefully I'll get to see this in person at a show at some point.
Strange as no one has pointed out that in the time its been on the road
Bit late to change now lol
Still its got the wrong engine as well, but am not changing that now either
Glad you said that.....
Cheers, yes the paint and body repair has come out real nice, very very pleased with it
Should be ready to roll soon as got 90% of the bodywork trim fitted back together today
But its now run out of Mot and still need to change the rack n fit the new suspension parts AGAIN
Cross member down job as the rack is soo tight to the sump
Few weeks maybe ... weather/work permitting ?
Decent weekend weather coming up apparently ... !
Scratch that, it's got the right engine
Great to see this back with you and looking fantastic again, the paint look great.
Need to get mine sorted now, but it is underway, lack of funds, lack of time at home and insurance are all slowing me down.
Looks like the right engine to me.
Am on it
How did you get on with yours Ian ? Thought that would be sorted by now ?
More to the point, the person who fitted them clearly didn't notice...
Nor did I, just as well as it's too late now !
Don't see why they can't be switched. If the holes/captives are in the wrong places you can just drill new ones. With luck, the overfender itself will cover the evidence.
All the more so with that VW Beetle style wing beading underneath it...
So Nissan got it wrong back in the late '60s. Glad that's cleared up.
New recon rack n techno toy frt suspension arms n tie bars now fitted
Had to take the subframe out to get the rack in, but wasn't as bad as expected
At least it didn't rain on me
Waiting for the bumpers n grille to come back from the powder coaters now
Trims all in so other then the bumpers its sort of there .... wheels still need changing mind
So you've paid for all this yourself? And not claimed on the insurance? Or the insurance paid out and you've done the work? I can't quite work it out!
I had no one to claim against, so I didn't claim on my own insurance.
Didn't want the car wrote off and didn't want to wait months either
Guess I could still go back and ask the question, but also don't want my other ins policies to go up now either.
So yes I have paid to repair the car out of my own pocket
... btw, why are you offering a donation lol
