Thats a real kick in the teeth on the first day out :( but as you say, lucky it didnt end up in the ditch! and you and your daughter are unscathed which is the main thing.

Im sure you'll have her back on the road in short order :)

I feel for you Wyn very sad to see this after all the effort you have put into your car. You just have to look on the bright side & think it could have been whole lot worse. You both got out safely & I am sure you'll have her back on the road on no time.

That really sucks, you must feel gutted. Similar to what happened to me but worse, people that don't pay proper attention when driving, mine still isn't fixed but will be soon hopefully.

I hope you sort it out and can repair it, looks like you broke a stub axle and obviously there will be some damage to the strut housing but I hope its all repairable.

Of course its good that neither of you were injured and this is always the most important, but it still annoys me when people say its just a car, that ok when you just buy a normal car but when you have put hundreds of hours, researching, restoring and upgrading your entire car it feels much more than just a car.

Whats your plan for it, insurance assessment first? Its always repairable, might be worth getting it checked on a jig where its torn hard mounted bits out?

This has done a lot more damage then initially thought, so be interesting to see what the insurance make of it ?
But am not letting it go anywhere so have made a start

Anyone got a full set of suspension arms/tie bars for a late 260z?

What I thought was just the rear damaged turns out the osf is bent up as well
So may as well change the lot as don't know how straight it will be else
The exhaust and wheel well has also taken a hard whack which has pi55ed me right off :(

Need to make me a list but if you see it broken in the pics I need it

Wyn, I know you are a 'get on and do it' kind of guy but this amount of damage could result in a 'total loss' and so you need to just sit back and see what unfolds - like a 'normal' person would. That is what insurance is for.

If your car gets 'written off' then you may be able to buy it back. However I know Dan was upset when he didn't get the opportunity to do that.

tbh I expect that now, but if they do write it off it isn't going anywhere

Very sad & sorry to see your car in that shape Wyn :( You must be pretty gutted. At least your daughter & yourself are ok. I hope your insurance company play ball and you get the outcome you want & that your Z rises again.

there is a guy on the forum bidding on one on ebay, he's from Italy i think, and asked for help with shipping from UK, but he only wants the rubber lip spoiler from it
