John, did you get out in the second session, if so it should be on my full length in-car video - yet to be edited to fit on Youtube.

Cheers Rob, I did get out in it although I may not have been close to you on the track. Be good to see the vid anyway, you were flying in the first session :D

Hi to all the Mallory track day drivers. Been cut off from Internet by Virgin all week and only just got it sorted.

Thanks to Rob for great day out. It was good to spend some time talking to like-minded Z folks. I have taken out my engine to sort the blowing exhaust header. It was blasting the clutch hydraulic lines and boiling the fluid after about five laps. I had a few moments changing down into corners when the clutch had stopped working but survived the experience. I should have it back in ready for Japfest so see you there.

Most if not all of the older Z models at Mallory were very quick. I know my car was not running in top form but they were pulling away down the straights as well as the corners. Still I had fun driving at my comfortable pace. 61 seconds may not be a race winning lap time but it’s a start.

You've been busy Rob getting the engine out of a 300 must be tedious.

I've taken my rad to be repaired and temporarily fitted my spare. Driven over to my Dad's in Staffs (he has a pit) and taken my gearbox out. Brought it home tonight and will have a look tomorrow.

Do you like the pictures folks, I asked Lee to take some for club members?

Pics were excellent Rob, wish I'd remembered my camera too, was some great stuff there.
Good luck getting the manifold sorted, hopefully just a gasket?
