Goodwood Festival of Speed 2010

The 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed is provisionally scheduled to take place over the weekend of 2-4 July, subject to final confirmation of the rest of the motor sport calendar. It will be the 18th running of the world’s largest celebration of motoring culture and promises to be packed with action and excitement as the planet’s most glamorous racing machinery and famous drivers gather together in the beautiful surroundings of Goodwood Park. The 2010 theme is currently being finalised and will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Cholmondeley Pageant of Power 2010

Location: Cholmondeley Castle (South Cheshire) , England
CHOLMONDELEY PAGEANT OF POWER CHOLMONDELEY CASTLE, CHESHIRE 17th & 18th July 2010 • At heart, a motorsport event for devotees and families alike, with 150 of the very best historic racing cars and bikes, to concept and supercars competing on the Cholmondeley Castle Track. • Powerboat racing on the adjoining Mere for Thundercats, OSY Hydroplanes and F4, F3 and F2 series. • Air displays including the Breitling Jet Team and the largest European collection of private helicopters. • Considerable military deployment with Main Battle Tanks, armoured vehicles including AS90 Missile Launcher, Warriors, Spartans, Stormers, Trojan and Titan. • Military Tattoo with marching bands, Sunset, fireworks and “Last Night of the Proms” Concert with the Camerata Orchestra. 1812 Overture accompanied by Royal Artillery Field Guns. • 80 Car and Bike Clubs. • 150 Stands in the Shopping Village and traditional fair. • Displays from the JCB Dancing Diggers to Jet Ski World Champion. • Concours d’Elegance on the Cricket Pitch, last year featuring Bugatti, Bentley and Lamborghini. • New for 2010 – National Hovercraft Racing, British Radio Car Racing. • “Help for Heroes” to be event charity. Attendance will be in excess of 50,000.
