Is it possible to create an msn messanger type system within the club site to send an instant message to another member when they are online.

Hi,

Will not bother with this site but potentially yes, would it make more sense to have an option in the user profile to include your MSN e-mail address or username and then if you want to MSN someone you can add them to your MSN account.

The only thing I'm not sure about is if the system is abused by 13yr olds who think its fun to write a bot that constantly msns people through the site, you'd also probably have to include your MSN login details to actually get it to send (as the message needs to come from somewhere), but one option is the site gets its own MSN account, and you can only send if your logged in, and your details are attached to the end of the MSN message so the receiver can identify the sender.

I'm sure theres a mod for vBulletin (the new website software, soon to be working fully I hope&#33<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> that would make this possible, I'll look into it after the new site is finished and if I don't remember please hassle me!

I quite like the idea <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
