Plastic bumper/trim reviver

The huge plastic front bumpers/trim as well as other bits on my MK7 transit, are now rather a faded, dull grey!

As most will already know, they were never black, but rather a dark to mid satin grey.

I'm not expecting miracles, but i would like to smarten up the appearance somewhat, it is an advert for the business after all!

So far I've only tried the Autoglym bumper & trim gel, and while it goes on easy and initially looks pretty good, it streaks in the rain and soon looks s**t again, in fact worse than before i used it!!

I've read about the hairdrier or paint stripper heat gun trick, but haven't been brave enough to attempt that as yet!

Any product recommendation's gratefully received :D

Cheers,

Anthony

There used be talk of peanut oil reviving rubbers. Can’t vouch for the truth of it, possibly Google is ur friend!
U can buy Nut oil in supermarkets so not much to lose trying, as a bonus you’ll immediately become more attractive to the birds!

I used Forever Black bumper and trim dye on my faded interior panels and they came up like new.
Don't know how long they will stay like that but it is very easy to apply.
