Sean, I think you have it at the wrong angle. It looks like it should be more vertical and further back from the grill opening.

However IMHO it will spoil your car, sorry mate. I like your car as it is, better to stop now than try to convince yourself that it will be ok.

It looks fine on the red race car but like a 'bit stuck on' on the white and yellow cars. It doesn't align with anything on those cars.

In the end ask yourself why you need it?

The spoiler work very well with the ZG flares on the Red car and looks lost on the others.

As i said your car looks better as it is.

Better without. I thought one of the points of your car, was externally for it to look "standard" without hinting what lies beneath? Having the spoiler is more of a hint there is more there than meets the eye..... I quite like the spoiler, but as said before, it depends on what car/mods its going with. But what do I know...

what difference will it make to the car at speed ?? if it does the job of keeping the front end down then use it,if not do not use it.if you do use it then it needs to be yellow !!!!!

Well, the only other ones I like are these ones - BRE (but with or without ducts ?) and a fibre glass copy of the original one.
What do you all think now ?

I think you're all right - if one is fitted it must be yellow !

I use the copy of the original but it took a bit of work to fit brackets in the middle to make it strong.

Also for track days you really want an accessible towing eye.

Another point is that getting a jack underneath is a pain, I made some low wooden ramps to run the car on before the jack will go under.

I think it does make a difference with stability at high speed. Note that the HSCC guys manage with a standard item or a copy.

I'm currently fitting protruding tow hooks front and rear - a fairly obvious precaution when running track days.
Fitting an Arizona ally rad. too - just wondering if this is going to 'over' cool the engine and should I be fitting a earlier opening thermostat to prevent this ?

The std. copy one aint bad, especially with a lowered look but I know what you mean about kacking - I can't get a jack under the side now - if I run a flat whilst I'm out..........

Any jacking solutions (to carry in the car) ? Gas exhaust airbags....?

I carry a exhaust gas airbag and have tried it, it works. However only use in an emergency as they test the exhaust manifold gasket to extreme!

The connector to the rear pipe has to be wired on too as it's easy to blow it off!

So not ideal but reassuring to carry.

In theory just having a functional correct temp thermostat should work. Did you mean 'later' opening?

HI Sean

So you will fit a front air dam... :) I think it looks good without it, but I still like the original front spoiler.

Thank You

Filipe,
it's not certain that I'll fit one at all - I have the BRE one with ducts and the Japanese 'racer' one in my garage. I'm just playing with the idea before deciding maybe to sell them on.

I'm also waiting for delivery of an extended grille at the front to hide all those ugly wires under the bumper. When that's fitted, I'll know better as it'll change the front look by itself !

Why not have one made like the one on your first car? otherwise I'd go for the status look.
Thermostats have a screw in the top which can be turned either way to adjust earlier or later opening.

Car looks superb without so keep it that way. It is all down to personal choice though, or we'll all drive the same car.

I'd straighten out the metalwork below the grill and paint it the same colour as the car though :)

Sorry!!!

Thanks for the honesty - yes, it took a rabbit and will get straightened out when the new grille goes in in March !

I think the spoilers will go on the market soon.......
