Should anyone wish to join us, we WILL be celebrating with good Champage (because there is bad as well you know !) at Le Mans Classic at which I shall be one of four 240Z having two complete laps of the complete circuit ! This is in addition to the white one taking part in the main spectacle !

Steve - we'll see ! Should mine not prove fast or agile enough, I'll still have time to make amendments I think.....;):p

I found rust holes!! Bugger! It'll be ready in time :)

Yeah, right - what're the stakes then ?

I'll give you until the end of April (midnight 30th) 2007 to have the car on the road, complete, taxed, MOT'd and in better than good condition !

I hope I lose !

The rust isn't anything significant. I could literally bolt the car back together now with a few parts and get an MOT, but I want to restore it first.

I will have to set some deadlines! Lets hope the MOT station works up until midnight that night.

That's what I'm counting upon ;).....and then add all the good ideas you'll have between now and then when you say "well, if I'm stripping her right down, I might as well go the little bit further" ! It's not just the deadline you have to set.

What're the stakes then ? What do you wanna bet ?

Well yes I keep going down the "whilst I'm here" route, but now it's going back as standard. It'll put too much time on it otherwise.

I'm not a gambling man Sean, but you're welcome to treat me to a drink if I make it in time, if not then I will lose out and you can have the drink to yourself :)

Standard ? Really standard ?.......;)

C'mon, not a drink, I'll buy you a bottle of wine that you like, you call it - red, white, dry, sweet, region ? and as you'd like Somerset to live in, you can buy me a good bottle of dry cider - howZat ?

As standard as sensibly possible, but probably a short stroke 2.8 engine instead.

I'll bring you a bottle of cider brandy, if you can drink the whole bottle then you are a better man than me :)

See you then!

Driving her (and remember that I'm running her in) feels like (I imagine) piloting a Supermarine Spitfire !

Photos soon but they'll mean nothing - you have to be within 300 yds of the car( and exhaust) to experience her !

100% torque at 2500 revs !
