Coming over at the end of the month to pick her up, ready for taking around the circuit at Le Mans Classic  !

Project - 3 1/2 years
total without a 240Z - 9 years

For those of you who've said I'm bitter and frustrated :

bitter is too strong a word but disappointed fits. Disappointed that no-one thanked me all those years ago for Goodwood and Aintree ! We put The Z Club on the map, into the limelight (a prize was won that someone is holding on behalf of the club ?) and I truly believe (with a little help from the tuning brigade) began to lift the status of Japanese cars that continued so well with Billing and all the follow ons - your Club was the first - be very proud of that !
All I got was grief from people upon how it should have been this and that. That I could take - part of the job, but no thanks hurt :(

Frustrated - yes, I have missed my car but miss most of all meeting up with old friends and the opportunity to meet new ones. This forum is okay but doesn't beat a laugh face to face. I also miss going to HSCC races and obviously now ;) would like to do a drag run or two (even if I make an arse of myself).

But none of this changes my feelings upon the right to question what happens in the club and to defend anyones' right to free speech.

I pay my subs, I give raffle prizes, I buy raffle tickets, when asked for ideas - I give 'em - in short I try to participate in whatever form I can. What hasn't been appreciated recently is when I offer my opinion. It isn't asked for, maybe that's it.

I shall endeavour from now on to keep quiet, post less and let things roll.
Happy Zedding to all of you - I shall be :p

Look superb mate, enjoy!! Get more pics when you get it, and a road report on how it goes.

So what you're really saying is that simply due to HSCC, drag league, and the pub meets here that England is best?? Would you like me to post you a flag...? :p j/k

Sean. Thank You for Goodwood,Aintree & also the immence pleasure I get
on this forum due to the likes of you. A web forum is made attractive &
stimulating by 'activity' & your post's contribute substantially in bringing in
interest for this club.
You may speak your mind, but you also take it as well....
If I notice a decrease in your post count. you will be in serious trouble,& I will
contact my lawyers. You have friends,nice cars,family & a humourous hairstyle. Cheer up,our kid & Z on....................DJZ 60.

Jules was conceived after a heavy pub session and AC/DC tribute concert so pubs are good - yeah (a round has become somewhat expensive though......) !

Was I the only one in the older days to have an car-ariel Z Club flag ? Anyone remember those ?

Thankyou DJ for those kind words, however this may be your chance to re-take the lead post count - go for it !

Suzy - I will be very near Stroud ;) on Saturday, 1st July, drooling and excreting other bodily fluids all over my new baby ;)

I even have a name for 'her' - but first, the magazine article  !

I think being part of a committee automatically means no thanks just grief and hard work:rolleyes:

Sean you and any member can question the club any day, it is being run for the members, I think your comments sometimes come across as unconstructive critism, you say yourself that you post just to shake the forum up, that doesn't help the committee.
Also your voice is not the only one, just because you have a view about a subject doesn't mean that is the right way for the club to go and you can come across as what you say is the only way.
This is all part of forum talk and the way things are taken so I realise you don't mean it that way.

Any help, advice or constrcutive critism will always be welcome by myself and issues brought up at meetings
AGM round the corner - see post under "Club Matters"

I can see about a currey meal if you want Saturday night (I'll check with Jackie first as it aint always easy with the kids) !

Yes, I will be doing a restoration article for the mag (nailed that one down tight didn't you ?). It won't be pages long and too technical as I'm a dunce but I hope it will amuse and somepeople will learn a thing or three !

I know I'm an arrogant S.O.B. and any comment I make can be taken badly - remember the quote in the film - The Abyss when Liz Mastraniowhatsit speaks of the crazed-out NavySeal - "he sees communists......you have to look with better eyes" ?

I have a bad habit of asking people to justify, or let's say explain their opinions, like 'why do you like red Zs ?' It's never meant as criticism, except for some that thrive on it (they know who they are and I'll take as good as they get ;).

Anyway, you're all doing a swell job on the committee, everything is hunky, my garden smells of the roses I've just planted and I'm patiently waiting for the fruits of the two vines and three kiwis I've just planted - bloody 30° in the shade here today - and I've got a nice, ice cold 60° rum punch sitting next to my keyboard !
