I found a site in america for aftermarket z car parts such as arch kits and engine dress up but this guy is taking his sweet time in replying to my emails, ive been emailing him before i even had the car (had it about 3 weeks). is there anywhere in the UK or otherwise what has a good track record i have money waiting for my order but this guy just doesnt seem interested, its so damn annoying as when ive searched nothing else has come up for the items im looking at. sorry for the small rant but i want to crack on with my project so any help would be really appreciated

You've just hit on the prime reason that most of us on here order our Imported stuff from MJP Eastern Auto ( Mr F ).

The US Suppliers in the main can't be bothered with the extra Customs Paperwork and are generally too lazy to get off their backsides to send anything other than to their own Country ( and even then take their sweet time to do so ). Let Mike have the aggro of chasing them up all the time.

No doubt we will have opposing comments from several others on this site with completely the opposite experience - there are some good Specialists who will do what they are supposed to, but you don't know which ones before you try.

I've ordered loads from motorsport auto and had great service. But can't beat Mike, esp if he's got it in stock, or you're not sure US spec part is going to work on your UK car.

thanks for the replies guys well its a bit of an extensive list its mainly the J spec arch/body kit im looking for and a few modernizing mods aswell plus some breather mods. i shall have to speak to "Mr, F" and see if he can help. thanks again guys :~)

If the company you are trying to order from is Showcars Bodyparts, then I have read a lot of bad things about them and I'd avoid them like the plague.

no its not show cars but i shall keep that in mind thanks. im not at the point to name and shame just yet. i actually received an email today regarding the order so we shall see

We've ordered loads from Motorsport Auto and never had any issues. Helps I guess in some ways them being a US store and us having a US car so we know stuff will fit!

I've also never had any real issues with importing items for my RX7 from US and AUS.

But then like mentioned above, I have only bought from places who respond to me promptly and are on the ball in their responses.

I also agree with above in recommending Mr F - he'll sort all the importing for you, and will know more about the bits you are ordering than most so is an excellent resource for all things Z.

If the store are ignoring you, or taking weeks to respond, then I'd be concerned. 2 or 3 days to respond is not unacceptable though to me, but to many in this modern world can often be thought of being too slow!

don't get me wrong dude the guys there are friendly and helpful its just the wait between emails that gets me, like your self. or ill ask a question and there will be a 3 day wait for a reply even though we where mid conversation to begin with it lol. Seems however though that i am close to ordering i asked the preferred way to pay so just waiting on reply now.
