Maybe The GTR Heritage Centre? I believe they’ve had a couple of S30s through their workshop (a Z432?) and they’ve restored and are restoring other Nissans of the period.
They’ve had mine for a few small jobs and I’d use them again for the Zed.
didn't they just import the 432?
I had thought they’d done some work on it but perhaps I’m mistaken.
Personally speaking, I wouldn't put much faith in The GTR Heritage Centre's comprehension of S30-series Zs. The 432 which they apparently 'sourced', appraised and imported for a client turned out to be a real mess. They described it as "immaculate" - apparently with a straight face - and yet any fool could have seen that trouble was lurking:
It was taken elsewhere for assessment of true state, and I was asked to make a report on it. Jaw-dropping stuff. Most of the back end was made out of pieces of 280Z and looked to have been welded together by Ray Charles, the floors and seat crossmembers had a whiff of T34 tank about them and one half of the front end had been replaced too (historic evidence of crash damage?). Just as worrying was the fact that the outer ring of the S20's crank damper was missing (!) and somebody had painted timing marks (in the wrong place...) on what remained, in TippEx.
It took a long time, and a lot of money, to improve it and it now lives with a 'nice' gentleman in the USA who describes himself as a 'collector'.
So, maybe The GTR Heritage Centre and their Japan-based contact had a bad day with sourcing that one (hey, it happens...), but I didn't see much expertise or understanding of the S30-series Z after the fact in that car's case.
