1 hour after auction end for deposit is a bit severe.
24 hours more usual and even then people often don't pay in time from experience.

He may have used sniper tool to win, may be out on the town, have a life unlike the rest of us saddos sat behind our keyboards half watching Dr.Who and Strictly on a Saturday night .

Send him a reminder now and give him at least until tomorrow morning to pay

If it was made clear in the auction then the buyer should abide by the terms, if your bidding on something of that value then you should be aware of the status and the fact you've just won it....otherwise don't bid

I agree. If you don't think you can meet the terms then you should contact the seller before close of auction and give your reason in advance and see if they can make an exception,

If I was bidding on this and won I would pay the £500 within minutes because I'd be scared of losing such a bargain.

Yep saw the car today and had a ride out in it. Lovely car, great original condition absolute bargain at that price.

There you have it, the market price for a nice Cali 'rust free 260z'. About break even
for the importer, maybe a little profit? Certainly well below some of the big prices being bandied around.
Big respect for the no reserve auction, it's worth what someone will pay.
I really can't remember now,my record keeping is terrible, but I seem to remember sticking my 240 on with high reserve and it getting to £8400 about a year ago.

In hindsight / next time assume would put a reserve on it John?
Has the winning bidder paid the deposit yet ?

Last three cars I have put on ebay not one of the buyers has complied with my request for Paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction end, all deals went through in the end but people seem to do what they want. Makes you edgy until that deposit is in hand that deal will go through. Ebay unfortunately stacked in favour of the buyer in auction format in every way. Usually only use classifieds now.

Yes it has. As has been said, morally I need to give him a chance to pay and he has emailed me now.

John really like the way you do business in not withdrawing from the sale at the first chance you have
Says a lot for the way you are:bow:
