For the record I love the stock lines of the S30 and couldn't cut mine up however If I got another I'd love to do something like these. The Fugu Z for example looks awesome, the purists will never get it though.

I don't know who these "purists" I keep hearing about are, but hopefully - when presented with something like the 'FuguZ' and 'Pandem' bodykits - they might point out that there's nothing much new under the sun, and refer you back to late 1971 or so:

Please bear in mind that Brinkworth flares will require 10.5" wide fronts and 12" rears, these are expensive, these will require power steering and they will destroy the handling.

No-one can stop anyone doing anything to their car, diversity is nice to see.

My outlook has changed in recent years though (for me anyway) if you go sticking bits on to change the lines of the car that dramatically, then it might as well be ANY car you're putting them on!

Ah, but this week's 'fresh ideas' are all too prone to falling out of fashion. They have a built-in sell-by date.

Go back 25 years or so and you could see S30-series cars in the Z Club with XR3i-inspired body kits. The past 10 years or so has seen most of those type additions being taken off again. I doubt there are any left now...

My feeling is that there's little real future for 'new' or 'fresh' body additions on 45 year old cars. The only ones that seem to last are the ones that have period heritage to call on.

Hard to answer a question which basically asks: In what way should I spoil the look of my beautiful classic sports car?

Not suggesting its anything ground breaking, from my limited knowledge the Japanese have done some serious modification and body kits from the odd bit of exposure I've got. Would love to see more, the above isn't quite to my taste in the same way but I'm sure is a spectacular track toy!

I just think the Rocket bunny kit when fitted correctly actually looks quite refined myself....

Necessity brings out the mods - if you need them who cares about the look. If you don't need them then the look is up for dispute.

I think the Toyo r888/r888r's are the only tyres in 235/50/15 now. I couldn't find 245's and 225's are a bit skinny for 10x15 wheels which is what i've got.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I love the look of the FuguZ, Brinkworth and Moonbeam cars but I do think the "classic" ZG arches look will wear better over time. I'm leery of cutting decent arches but one of the back ones on my 240 has some issues already and I've sourced a pair of front wings so I'm not too upset. Plus I''ve still got the red 260 which I'm not going to cut about!
