Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies, I only purchased my Z in December last year after importing it from the states after 20 years of pure wanting. I'm really happy with the car even if it's not 100% original but I am a driver and I want the car to suit me, and she will probably go through a few more changes (bushes, coilovers, gas flow and porting). But she is a matching numbers car, original inside and underneath, never restored. Just had a blow over which wasn't brilliant but Fourways sorted her out to a great spec and gave me the thumbs up. She is a beauty and rare to find in an unrestored condition such as this. She spent her first 30 years in Nevada but apart from that the history is sketchy.
As for the article, it certainly has a little 'strangeness' to it but Stephen was very complimentary of the Z in general and it was he who instigated the article as he really feels it is a landmark car. All the guys at the shoot were really complimentary about tthe Z, not just my car but the Z car in general and I think, as we all are, quite perplexed to why it is still quite under rated considering basically everything. I am just happy to have got my hands on one before they went exponential.
I'm looking to come to Japfest as part of the club this year and it will be great to meet you all and your cars. My daily is a classic 97 Subaru Impreza and so will be nice to see Scoobybits Subaru Club there as well. I hope you all enjoyed the article anyhow and it still brings the Z to the limelight where we should endeavour to keep it. Can't wait to get her out there as much as possible in the coming years. She was very well received at Wallingford last year with lots of great feedback and I'm just a happy man to now properly be part of the club!

Hi Vaughan,

at present I keep my Z up in Southampton as garages are as rare as hens teeth down here but I'll probably swap the scooby over with her during the summer so I can get some extra tinkering and polishing time!
