Nissan to reproduce unavailable parts says Classic Car Weekly 9/10/19

This weeks edition of Classic Car Weekly (9th October) has the bold headline that Nissan will pioneer small batch production of presently unavailable parts. I couldn't track any further info on a Nissan website nor any other source. Not sure if this will eventually trickle into the UK Nissan supply chain or if it will cover body panels.

Just a heads up if this info hasn't already been noted on the forum

I seem to recall a previous bit of news saying they were starting this for Skylines? Maybe this is that.

This is a separate development, I think, to the Heritage program that was starting with the R32 Skylines. Still, as put by Mr. F in the other thread that Chris posted, Nissan - at least Nissan UK - will probably fumble the ball on this one, like everything else they do these days. The pricing will be, without a doubt, extreme. I seem to recall recently seeing discussion somewhere (might've been Japanese Nostalgic Car) of the price of the brand new RB26 blocks coming out of the program - it was utterly eye-watering and unlikely to attract more than a minute number of customers outside of high-end specialist engine and car builders.
