Nissan Silvia 1.8ZX turbo -250bhp!!

Hi,
Nissan diluted the 'ZX' name in the 1980's by liberally sprinkling it about on mainstream Bluebirds, Sunny's and Silvias of the time!...
Then there were the Citroen ZX's and now MG(Rover) are using the 'Z' on their ZR, ZS, ZT model "sporty" Rovers!
When I think of a 'ZR or ZS', I think of a Nissan Fairlady 200ZR, ZS or 300ZR, not a bodykitted Rover!;)

surely your not THAT elitist;) ;) :D

so can i continue to advertise my car on here? [/B]

don't believe any one is getting hassle, but the reason nothing was said about the threadid=1818 you mention is that no one reported it.
I have always believed that as a committee member of the club and an admin on this forum that if a member reports something that they agree/don't agree with or feels strongly enough about
to bring to my attention I will always bring this to other members attention to see what the feeling of others are

sod all this serious stuff

and hey the cars still being advertised here in answer to your question and I hope you sell it soon

also with the ammount of replies to your original post it may attract a casual browser to buy your car

perhaps there should be a more specific wording and a bits and bobs area to sell them unwanted birthday, christmas and wedding gifts instead of me giving them away.:D

There are two separate issues here that both require clarification.
The first one is that the forum, which is part of the Z Club, still does not make crystal clear to casual users that the club only caters for 240z, 260z,280ZX,300Zx,350Z and NO other models.
I originally proposed the use of the "One Club all the etc ....." slogan to promote this point, but that didnt seem to find favour with the majority of members.
So we are still stuck with a lack of clarity/identity,
Current "rules" forbid non Z related adverts, which is supposed to mean items pertaining to 240z,260Z,280ZX,300Zx.350Z only should be advertized.
It is with this framework in place that I raised the objection, in an attempt to have the issue resolved in a proper fashion.
I have nothing personal against this particular advert or the advertiser in person. The fact that the thread subsequently became technically interesting/amusing is not relevant to my case.
But by some posters definitions I colud quite easily advertise the folding bed or "Z bed "as it is known in the furniture trade that I am currently selling on this forum.!!!!!!!!
CLARITY of PURPOSE, Transparency of operation, and Even handed administration are the goals we should seek to achieve on ALL sections of the forum.
Im not personally bothered one way or the other about a general sales section. So few people use the site that I wouldnt bother using it. Just stick to Loot.

[Pedantic] Bluebird Turbo is a FWD Scrabble machine, as is the Cherry Turbo, Silvia S12 is RWD [/Pedantic] :p

Scrabble machine lol, like a scooby is a point and squirt job? :D I like that term.

Can I just raise my point about someone creating a "About the cars, technical section" again? That would help clear up what cars we support. Do Kawasaki ZX-6s, ZX-10s, ZX-12s count? I have been busy with my project proposal the past two/three weeks but at this rate I really will put up an about the cars section myself full of errors, ommisions, Kawasakis... :D

Not being good enough has nothing to do with it, it's not a Z car and doesn't fit into the Z club...

If you have a problem with the Silvia thread (you are a member right?) then report it and someone will have it moved.

At the moment you have a forum created and discussed solely for you, not many people have had that privalege.

hehe, and still not sold...

tbh fella, you'd get better money selling the performance bits and then getting it up to as clean a standard spec. as possible, there's no shortage of standard S12 parts about.

LOL, I've got 1 at home and I don't even have a Silvia...

although I chopped the spanner and bent it to remove Manifold Nuts.

Seriously though, the S12 that I know of that went for the most lately was bought for 2.5K, it had 14000 miles on the clock and had been dry stored all its life, to all intents and purposes it was a new car, modified cars almost never go for decent money purely because people will think its been abused, thats why I'm saying take the performance bits off and sell them seperatly, cos then you'll get cash for each bit you sell and also because if you have your car standard looking as good as possible your more likely to get a buyer after a potential classic, or else keep hold of it, I suspect the way things going in a year or two the S12's will actually start being worth something especially if Drift racing really takes off (I really don't understand why AE86 corolla's are worth so much cos I'd far rather have a silvia anytime)

I'd love an AE86! It's the top car in my Gran Turismo 3 garage... Black with white roof, mmmmm...
