So clutch bled today with my easibleed.

My mate just helped me bleed the brakes took about 1.5hours.

Filled the rad with antifreeze and found it was leaking from the drain plug.

A new rubber o-ring sorted that but I needed to empty the rad to refill it again.

I just treated it as another flush.

Surprisingly almost no crap came out if it!

Was very very clean!

Got some nice purple antifreeze!

Windscreen wiper stalk fixed and nut fixed too.

Also made some nuts up for the k&n panel filters as they were not a standard size.

They were m5x1.0 and a standard thread size is m5x0.8.

Tested the horn and interior lights. Aswell as the exterior lights.

The indicators do not work bor does the brake lights of hazard lights.

Am I correct to assume that the ignition needs to be on for these to work?

I do not have my keys yet but hopefully picking them up in the morning, so I can test it all then...

You shouldn't need the ignition 'on' for the hazards to work otherwise you can't leave the car and still 'show' the hazard lights.

From memory it took me a while to get them to work before.... 3 years ago.......

I think I had to take apart the relay and clean it.

It might need that again!!!

I will try it with the car running....

See if the 14+V can get it going......

Got some nice purple antifreeze!

Purple, or for that matter the pink/orange stuff, is not suitable long term for these old skool engines

You need the older style, blue/green antifreeze

Something to do with the way they can react over time with different metals in the engine!

Hey Don, it has come a long way. Fair play for you sticking with it. The interior would make Huggy Bear proud, and if it floats your boat - go for it. What you really need to complete the look is a period correct body kit! Something like this... EXTRA:D
