Don, 3000 posts or 2000 is irrelevant, you never fail to make me smile! [emoji106]

I trust the wires you are talking about aren't in front of the fuel tank!? If they are then it's wiring for an electrical fuel pump. You will often find wires in places for features your car didn't have installed!

Take a pic of them and post them up so we can see what you are seeing.

I’ve just read this thread from start to finish! started last night, some more on my lunch break today, then finished it off when I got home. Defnielty picked up some useful information for when I start my project about what to do and what not to do! Love the finished colour, have been considering bronze amongst other options. I get the wanting to buy all the new shiny bits before the body has been properly sorted but I’ll be holding off until that’s done as that seems the logical way to go based on various inputs!

So I took my washer wiper fluid motor off of the bottle and managed to get that to work!!!!

One of the few things that was not working the first time around!

It started working slowly and now goes like mad!

Very loud!

I think it is normal as I tested a 280zx one and that is just as loud!

Anyway.

Washer bottle all cleaned and re/installed.

Having to do things in a bit of a backwards order as I am waiting for parts to arrive, but keeping myself busy nonetheless!

Also managed to paint my brake distribution blocks in blue and re-install them on the car with my new braided lines in place ready to be connected up at all 4 braking ends although I have already loosely connected them up to the rear.

Adjusted the rear handrake drums since they are all completely new and both sides are now pretty balanced and work effectively!

Also made some door liners to go under the door cards, and also hooked up my clutch line loosely.

Also adjusted the rear hatch locking catch and strikers, so now both sides of the hatch sit tight and flush when closed!

All that and the crank pulley came off with no effort at all.

But I have to remove the front casing due to 2 snapped threads!!

Ffs!!!!

Oh well.

Rather it now, than on the road.

See your footwear hasn't improved, unlike the car. You really don't want to drop anything on those. I'd tell you get a pair of steel toecaps but......

I spent a lot of time measuring bolts today.

Now I have dimensions for all bolts from the front casing so I can order them in stainless steel so no more rusting into the block and/or snapping bolts! The bolts measured to be replaced are including all bolts for the oil pump, the water pump, the the dizzy, the water neck, and the front casing.
