So is anyone planning on going? http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/nissan/98437/new-nissan-z-car-concept-gearing-up-for-tokyo-2017
Nice but oh dear - what about a simpler (less expensive) concept such as the Toyota GT86 and MX-5 ? Or will they be LMSeries racing the new Z - in which case yippee ?
Should have made this ! http://www.turbo.fr/actualite-automobile/493190-villa-este-2012-bmw-z4-zagato-coupe/
Much like the opinion the S30 took style ideas from the E-Type, they should have been creating something akin to the F-Type. Stunning, stunning car.
I agree, but GT86/FRS sales have been disappointing in the US. Going more upmarket with lower volume seems to be the only way manufactures can make money from a sports car. I'd love to see a Gt86 type car from Nissan but I can't see it happening.
Interesting concept you propose there - make and sell less to gain more money ? Kinda warped minimalist philosophy - less is more ?
I like it. Would be nice if they busted out the old Datsun badge as a sports car marque Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They got it so right the first time around & don't think they will ever come up with anything close to the original design, if they did it would have to be something very special. There is just something so appealing about 240's/260's that no other cars have, can't quite put my finger on it but its there, everything is so right with them cars. Gorgeous.
I agree, one of the most profitable car producers in the world. They already have the upmarket image of course, and can charge accordingly.
Ok so a base Boxter now costs £41 K http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/porsch...ces-specs-and-full-details-of-flat-four-turbo So what could Nissan charge for a new Zed?? What level can they pitch it at? Of course different market here to the US.
Nissan will never, ever have the same upmarket image unless they play much bigger on their past.....and they don't ! All innovation that excites and we are driven.....
