New Z31

Bought a new Z this week, been stuck in a barn for over a year so needs a good clean. Paint badly resprayed and now faded, but pretty good from a rust perspective. Main issue appears to be rear mountings so hoping to get them checked out soon and welded. Other than that and a massive clean I'm hoping not too much else is needed. Starts and runs but could do with some fresh fuel before giving it a could test.

well done looks like you got a sound car there, you could be cruising soon then with a bit of work, which mountings are the issue?im guessing the rear subframe mountings where it bolts to the floorpan with 2 bolts

Yes the rear sub frame mountings. Got someone coming to have a look on Tuesday. Shame really as the rest of the bodywork isn't too bad. Managed to get some fresh fuel in it today before having it running at operating temp. Needs a new battery I think but starts up and runs smoothly, no smoke. Don't want to put it under any pressure though at the moment, no idea when it has had its belts changed so I guess that will be pretty high up on the list. Cleaned out the inside today - looking smarter already.
Spent most of the day sorting through all the spare parts that came with it and cleaning them up. \pretty much all the parts from a red NA and a red Turbo.
Need to figures out what to keep and what to sell - to help fund the work needed. Which ever, think its going to be a while before I will be able to get the car in the garage. lol
