gio at your age it might take a bit longer than an afternoon to find out whats in it
if all goes to plan during the week you might need next sunday to see some other things on the site

the site looks excelent. wonder if this will encourage more to use it. is it possible to have more albums holding smaller quantities of photos or split them into catagories to enable easier browsing. at the moment it seems that you have to start at the front each time you change an option. This is just an idea and in no way a critisism. if the gallery still needs an admin then i am still up for it steve. ben

Hi,
Great new layout! I thought I'd got a wrong link and hit another site, untill the page fully downloaded
Would it be possible to have a clearer picture of a Z in the main title? As I think somebody finding the site on a general web browse wouldn't necessarily know what it's about at first sight.(just an observation...not a criticism;) )
Is it also feasable to have copies of original road tests when the cars were new, in the review section?...with the permission of the publishers of course.I'm sure that between us we have copies of every road test ever printed!

Hey,

Much improved site, I know from experience installing nukes can be a bit fiddly so well done

I'm up for helping with the webside of things as much as you'll let me, first thing I would like to do is sort out the forum smilies as they are obviously designed for a white bg and it annoys me

Good work tho batman. If you need any help drop me an e-mail.

FAO Steve: sorry I missed your call, brothers birthday, I guess your out now so I will ring you Monday night.

Cheers

I was wandering around the (extremely wonderful) new site and was looking for "member benefits". I.e. something which a) explains why people should sign up to be forum members (which I think is free?) and b) extols the benefits of actually paying dosh to be a member of the club.

I couldn't find this - is it going to be put somewhere?

Cheers - Gio

Hi Gio
The plan is to enter members benifits, guidlines on how to use the site, how to join the club etc in the FAQ section who knows we may in time enter faq technical questions and answers the scope is endless, but in all things time and priority is needed
Maybe people could send in some items that would help users of the site and if any IT wizards know how to paste items onto the board they could email me on how to do this as remember I'm old and have only just learnt how to set our video recorder

OK Steve,

an added suggestion would be to have a simple notice right on (or one click from) the front page that says click here for member benefits.

Registration is free - just register here and you'll get full access to our forums and the wealth of experience from the UK's oldest Z/ZX Car Club.
(tell people what they can / can't post to)

But if you're seriously interested in Zeds and ZXs, you should joing the club itself. For just £x or £y for family membership you'll get full access to this site and forum and in addition
full colour quarterly magazine
insurance scheme
listing on the club register
etc
etc
etc
(I forget because it was a long time ago I joined&#33

This all started because I wanted to tell a few mates about this site but couldn't remember what they got access to for free and what would cost them money.

Oh and just while I'm on it, why not make up a few window stickers which have www.zclub.net on them. They could be free to paid up clubmembers who register for this forum - hopefully encouraging them to sign up!

Cheers - Gio

Well done everyone indeed.

The new layout is a vast leap forward on the old one, and the enhanced abilities to update by users should be an incentive to get usage of the site up.

I for one, coming from an IT background, realise how much effort it is to get these things up and running. So, thanks very much, it is appreciated.

CheerZ,
John.
