Hi,
My name is Edan Vhadat and I am new to this forum. I've been restoring s30s since I was 15 years old. I have a lot of experience with the s30s, and have a passion for them along with all Nissan cars.
When I was nineteen I made my own rear brake upgrade since their where no suitable options at the time. I had the 240sx caliper brake kit, but it was not strong enough for the front Toyota brake upgrade I had. The next best option with e-brake was $1200, which is pricy for a 19 year old, so I decided make my own rear brake kit with e-brake. Thus, Silver Mine Motors was born.
During the Z Car National’s car show in California, many spectators showed a lot of interest in my rear brake kit which gave me confidence in my business. Since then, I’ve been making more parts for myself while selling them though forums and other websites.
Now that I graduated from University, I’m trying grow my business as much as possible. I design all the brake kits I sell and have been doing this for past six years. We have not had one problem or returned item since then! Improving cars to their fullest potential is my passion and I look forward to getting to know everyone on this forum and helping each other out with our ideas and car issues.

Thank you,

Edan Vhadat

Hi Edan

Do you have any photos of your brake kits fitted to S30's?

I've been on the website, however it contains no photos of them actually fitted to a car. :p
Then, my friend, ask for what you want and thee shall receive - photos of the kit fitted to a car....simples:p !

thank you guys.
i don't like aluminum calipers because there aren't any good options. they are hard to get somtimes. i sell them in other brake kits and they are always out of stock. i would not want to use them in any other kits since they are hard to find.

yes there are a lot of pictures of our brake kits installed on s30.
here is one of our rear brake kit for s30.

I have the front upgrades on my 260z, haven't used them in anger yet (will report back) but apart from the issue Tel raised they seem ok, clearance between disc and caliper is tight though. I can certainly vouch that dealing with Edan was a pleasant experience and I got the parts in just over a week from the US which is impressive.

Remember to paint your calipers before use, mine have already started to rust!

In america you have a lot of freedom to customize your car.

We have the same freedoms here in the UK too, but the car still has to be roadworthy.

If your rear brake conversions need the handbrake ( 'E-brake' ) lever to be almost vertical before the rear wheels are locked, then they are not working properly.

If you are planning to sell your rear brake conversions to customers here in the UK ( as I would guess you are, seeing as you are hawking them on this forum ) then this is going to need to be addressed.

Strange - I use ally calipers, easy to find from the States and over here........

The pictures show 2 seaterr S30s, what about 2+2s and in particular the 260Z 2+2 which is by far the most numerous in my part of the world ?

Thats a good point from Albrecht, How well does the handbrake work and how far up does the lever need to be pulled?

That picture is 7 years old. That was my first s30 I even owned. That was before I made the rear brake kit we now sell.
In that picture the rear brakes were the stock drums.

The rear brake kit we sell is able to lock the rear wheels at 100 MPH. we have many customers who use the e-brake while drifting. It can be adjusted to go up only 4 clicks before it locks. You just have to adjust the hand lever under the car.
We have also sold dozens of these kits to people in the UK. And we have not had 1 single problem or return in the past 5 years.

Edan - the confusion is perhaps from people asking for pictures of your kits on cars and you posting these pictures - natural to assume that the cars in these pictures are using your kits.

I've been informed that the Stage 4 rear brake kit won't fit with CV axles like the Z31T ones and that the handbrake cable rubs and bends against the frame rails? Is this correct or not?

Thanks
