Hi marcusrogers3
Couldn't help noticing your location - Bristol

Couple of things coming up the area for you to come along and introduce yourself.

Bristol meeting 25th April 2004
We are teaming up with the 300ZX forum guys for a joint meeting in Bristol at the Old lock and Weir/ Chequers pubs at Hanham. This is down by the river with plenty of parking space. Will be meeting up at 12.00.

JapFest 22nd May 2004
After last years’ success, the JapFest at Castle Combe is back. We are going to have a bigger pitch and providing some shelter for socialising this year. Entrance is free to Z Club members (or a reduced price of £6 for others) but I do need you to contact me to reserve tickets. There will be a Zed dedicated track session at the bargain price of £17.50.
Drop me a line if you can make it to either of these events

cheers for now

Cant come to the Bristol meet as my car is still in getting fixed, just spent £400 on 2 rear tyres (Bridgestone S03) is this the normal cost or did i go over the top on the tyres. My car is booked into Protech in Nailsea on Mon 27th for some work as this was the only place i could find who seemed to know about the z.

I think i have a Blitz exhaust on my car but the pipe that goes into the back box has a hole, can this be fixed or do i need to spend 700 quid on a new exhaust.

regards

Marcus

My wheels are stock but those back tyres 245/45/16 are a bugger to get hold of. The Bridgestone Potenza Tyres are pretty good though if expensive.

Put my car in for an MOT and its not well at all so my credit card is about to get hammered.

The exhaust was knackered, the steering rack is leaking and a new n/s ball joint is required.

I have the ball joint to be done next week and have ordered a mongoose exhaust, but the steering rack leaking is going to be a hefty bill i rekon

Welcome to the forum :)

Sounds pricey but better spend too much than not enough on tyres, it's the only thing between you and the road.

Ouch, £400 for 2 SO3s is pretty expensive but a damn good tyre. I paid about £600 for 4 18" S03s from Micheldever mail order. Also head good things about mytyres.co.uk and http://www.blackcircles.com/

Anyway, welcome and enjoy, the people on here know a lot and they'll even tell you if you ask nicely ;)

Cheers,
Rob
