Welcome aboard mate! Please come to the meeting on Sunday. Cross the bridge 2nd exit jnct29, pick up A127 and head towards Southend. 5mins down the road take the A128 Turn off for Brentwood. As you come up the slip road the pubs right there! Total time from the bridge max 20mins. Allways a couple of other car clubs there too. Foods pretty good if you want to bring the Mrs for lunch.

    Hi Racer/Matt,

Will try to get across without the Mrs she thinks the 260 looks like something out of starwars/space thingey! Going to give her the car that is a good clean and polish tomorrow so should be able to get some pics uploaded soon.

    Hi Steuart,

Great to meet you on Sunday, just sorry I couldn't hang around to talk for longer (lunch at Mum's at 2pm and I'm ALWAYS late after Z Club and I ALWAYS get it in the neck from my Wife and kids for it!).

Hopefully see you next month when we can chinwag a bit more and you can show me round your car.

    Welcome to the Club!

Now I realise where the car is from I can recall selling Richard K. quite a few trim, emblem and other tidying up parts between '99 and '01.

It was good to meet you and everyone else at the Halfway House event last Sunday. I must say that the silver, late model 260Z of yours looks nice (but I would say that)!

Apologies for my two young children being there, but they did cause a bit of amusement to everyone! I should have asked to check out the Mothers' Day menu whilst I was there for the next meeting which coincide – just need to decide how to break the news now.

Daily driver is still in the garage with the cylinder head off and couriered somewhere so they can X-ray it for a manufacturing defect! Headgasket is not now at fault, I am told, after the engine was stripped down into more parts than a Meccano set 10, but exhaust gases were recorded in the engine coolant apparently!
Still, the best bit (and I do feel privileged) has got to be that I get to drive about in a twice-round the clock courtesy car which has a characteristic grinding noise when the brakes are applied and a drivers seat which, when fully back (and if I can get it past the 45 degree angle point), allows me to use the rear window as a head restraint. Ah the joys of motoring! Still, I managed to fill up the tank from below the red line (running on vapour, I think) when I picked it up to brimming for about half of what my daily driver takes. Only problem is that what I have saved in petrol adds up to about 5% of the repair costs so far!!!

Thanks for the offer of the Unipart bits, by the way.
