If you buy a copy you can scribble what you like on it.

    Busted.

I think that depends very much on how well they sell-through in Japan. I think we can expect a Vol.2 at the very least and I believe Mr Morita is working on that now, but whether it will go any further than that I have no idea.

Morita san put together a sister title in this '50th Anniversary Chronicles' series dedicated to the Skyline GT-R. It was published a few months before the Z title, and is similarly weighty, so he's busy!

I think the established word for this is bookazine rather than mook. And the editor doesn't lay this stuff out - it's a 'graphic/book designer' - of which I am one!

Even if it's up and down stuff. Cover is nice (and in English, so it seems).

It’s definitely a ‘Mook’ in Japan....they are pretty fond of them.

Definitely 'Mook'. Its a common format in Japan. Soft cover, not periodical, specialised subject matter and weightier than a magazine.

Actual 'Designer' was Mr Shinji HIROTA, but all my contact was with Editor Mr Koichiro MORITA and we had several back-and-forths regarding photo content, layout and story. He was the person who decided how it would actually look.

I'll get one anyway, maybe if our paths cross I can talk you into it.

Maybe it's mook in Japan but never heard the term in the UK.

You mean the editor told the designer how it should look? I've been fighting that thought process all my working life!

Why’s the front of the book in English?

You'll find the Roman alphabet ('Romaji') has been in common use in Japan since the beginning of the 20th century. These days pretty much everybody can read it, and it has become a useful graphic device.

Main text of books/mooks like these is in Japanese (a mix of Kanji and Katakana) but titles/captions in English for aesthetic effect.

Guys this really is a top quality book. The pictures are fantastic and of course I love the rally pictures.

For those not sure of content it covers all Fairlady models so Roadster too. There are plenty of 280ZX and Z31 content plus the odd 350Z and 370Z pics.

    Z32 - very little. Later Volume ?

If only I could read Japanese.

I had never heard that 'head wobble' expression before in my life, just heard it again, uttered by the Dec half of those cheeky chappies Ant'n'Dec. Hence assumed it wasa Geordie phrase, google tells me it's Liverpudlian, care to clarify?
