Is that the book that is very much like "You've got to be Lucky" that tells "The Truth, the whole truth but not all the truth"?

No offence Moriarty but there is 11 pages of this sort of stuff on another thread

What was sorry, do you mean specification........I've read it cover to cover and any mention of specification doesn't seem consistent with the (many) cars that are out there.Sean said:Also quoted in Spike's book.

Some cars had Webers some didn't, some had springs cut down some didn't, some had head work (!!) some didn't.
I cant remember word for word when I was talking to Kevin and his son this year I thought they said there was a slight difference on what specs were used at different times
I give up and leave the stage to youNo-one mentionned you being totally wrong....'cept you ! Of course the spec varied, it was what was available but also no doubt improvements were made so they fitted what was best at the time.....or the least expensive - believe also that which you will.

You state on the one hand these are the specs that Spike says is what constitutes a Samuri and then in the next post you post a completely different idea that those specs varied from day to day
At times Sean I think you just post for the sake of posting and have to have the final word on everything

It has been asked 100000000 times what an actual samuri is, what the spec should be. Basically its a letter from 'spike'?

Yes, what a beautiful car. Gorgeous lines - although even better was the slightly earlier model where the chrome side-strip was a hockey-stick shape instead of straight and followed the body curve you can see on the picture up to the door handle. The trouble with the early cars (I am told) is that at 70mph they are touching 5000rpm (even with overdrive) which would be very noisy on the motorway. Hopefully the later 2.0 litre fuel-injected ones were a bit quieter! What was your experience, Chris?I'm with you Rob, the coupe is a stunning looking car.
Same principles apply when roof taken off a 240Z which I have seen done a couple of times, loses the sweeping lines and curves.
Here is a later series fuel injected 1800E that I owned a few years ago. This car was actually sold new in Japan to a US serviceman. Beautiful lines, perhaps even better than 240Z
Correct. How much does he charge for them ? Maybe a worthwhile investment
Yawn......
It is high time that everone knew what a Samuri actually is !
I am obviously not going to put what I know about the subject on a public forum.
There were a whole gang of interesting Vauxhalls there. Viva GTs and yes Sean, a Brabham, Ventoras and a rather cheeky shovel-nosed estate Magnum (Sportshatch was it?)
Always liked the two-door coupe shovel-nosed 2300 Chevette myself, couple of those there too.
