I hate scones. Prefer doughnuts.

I think the MZR cars are great, beautifully crafted and probably worth the money (if I had it).

I don't get involved in the politics of this forum cos I'm relatively new to these cars and are here because of the cars, not because I like to be a keyboard warrior.

It's sometimes a bit pathetic, whoever it is.

it’s a good way to be. Sometimes there’s a dark vortex that sucks you in!

The cars are stunning, don’t think they could be better,Wot I’ve noticed over the last ten-fifteen years the amount of great skill and work and hours Zedders have put into their rebuilds some levels better or shall we say different to others which makes em stand out even if they look the same as the one parked next to it as for wot they are worth wot ever the level of work that’s gone into it is another topic I think and yes UK I’m with you on that and I don’t get upset if someone confuses a 69shell to another cars identity like some would, personally I couldn’t give a toss like most on here couldn’t,it’s not important just an observation by a few that know more than the many

I've seen these sorts of issues on other car club forums. Some people have very strong opinions and feel the need to share them at every opportunity. They then come up against someone with equally strong yet opposing opinions and neither is prepared to be the adult so it degenerates into a playground spat. This then discourages others and so it goes on.

The world in general could do with lightening up a bit, being less sensitive and taking responsibility for ourselves.

Surly the main reason the mods have to remove posts is when they become insulting, rude and just an attempt to belittle people
Even if the fight club was brought back it would still have to comply with the "Community Code of Conduct which says
The following will not be tolerated:

i) Inflammatory responses
ii) Use of inappropriate language
iii) Harassment of other members (whether in posts or PMs)
iv) Name calling
v) Picking fights
vi) Inciting arguments
vii) Posts / links of a sexist, sexual, lewd, explicit or racist nature

Whether they understand what they have or not is an item for speculation right now

That was the most surprising part of the discussion for me .

I’m sure it would raise an eyebrow with a few early MZR owners too

So, no speculation. Just a little eyebrow raise.

Why? About what? I honestly don't get it. I feel pretty sure the people who bought those early close-to-stock cars will know exactly what they have, and the cars speak for themselves.

Meanwhile there's a car on sale in the UK which is clearly of a 1973-up production date, but with a 1969 chassis number welded onto it, and nary a raised eyebrow in sight. Funny old scene, isn't it?

Timely post Steve. It seems its difficult depending on who you are to have an opinion without little personal jibes starting.

I’d love to see the details on the 69/73 car. It sounds very interesting . Why not start a thread with some links and pictures and the forum members can raise a few eyebrows with you .

My initial mention of the comments made - were a pun/ subtle nod to the Samuri situation, and It was just the choice of words in particular that raised an eyebrow in that respect (bearing in mind a lot of the content was about brand and brand preservation ).

Word for word - from the owner of the Company in relation to those early cars :

“I wouldn’t really class them as MZR cars”

So yes - it’s clear what they have . An S30 modified and restored by the owners of MZR .

They are nice , quality , and we all like them.

I disagree, it's NOT clear at all - those early cars are as of as much importance as the later 'real' MZR cars ; without those early cars, the company wouldn't have kept going long enough to fund the research, development and fund the first show/press car.

They at the same time crysalis' and cash-raisers, not lightly dismissed however much one wants to protect the brand...imo that ARE MZR cars and have been / still car used in MZRs publicity !

I don't, given less than half an MZR budget, I'd go to Romas...and drive it.

Have we had a post deleted where someone questioned the relevance of the early cars ?

Thank you for making my point by referring to the early cars and the ‘real ‘ cars separately .

Exactly the kind of confusion that can arise when such statements are made .

I haven't made anyones' point 'cept my own, the word 'real' was in inverted commas expressly as it is (imo) a debateable point......now if we're not allowed to debate that, or Rahail can do as he like - who are we to question it (of course he can but that doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't discuss it* - why should he be left off the hook if a '69/'73 car is about to be 'hit' ?) or worse, take as gospel, another elements' personal opinion.....

*don't you oppress me :

For those of us that are not anoraks and have a sense of humour can someone tell me the difference between a 69 car and a 73 car

My point was that the statements mentioned may raise eyebrows and cause confusion .

You are still proving my point . Thank You.
