And probably a damned sight more "sporty" than the stock Japanese market 240Z:rolleyes:

I think a few people here - as usual - need to acquaint themselves with the existence of the HS30-S 'Fairlady 240Z', HS30 'Fairlady 240Z-L' and HS30-H 'Fairlady 240ZG' models.

My original point being that - if you are going to talk about "sporty" - not all early Zs left the factory equal in that respect...

Now that is so much clearer for most of the newbies to the species

It's not exactly rocket science though, is it?

If you bought a '69 through '73 North American market car and wanted to make it more "sporty" (or at least as "sporty" as the car in question) you'd be changing the diff, the transmission, the steering rack (RHD has 'faster' rack ratio), the springing, damping and anti roll bars as well as all the outright performance, comfort and reliability additions (radiator, driveshafts, brakes, wheels/tyres/interior etc) and that's before the engine gets touched.

It's a long list. It represents a lot of work to gather it all up and a lot of money to pay for it all. I think, as a package, this car represents a lot more work and money than most people can see. I've seen it in the metal, so I feel qualified to pass comment.
