Not everything that glitters is gold..... I'm now discovering the joys of Datsun ownership!

Car away for some minor repairs to the bodywork....😂

Ps expanding foam optional for wing fitment.

Expanding foam. Christ! I suppose that's one way to seal the tops of the air tubes so that water can't get trapped there... oh wait.

Now get them to check if there's any in the sills!!!

One of my red Z's previous owners had a better solution to that issue - aluminium mudguards that screw into the underside of the air tubes and are shaped to prevent muck getting anywhere near the air tubes or upper insides of the wings. They work too. First time I took them out, I was expecting carnage - but was greeted with pristine, clean, and painted air tubes. They shield the backs of the headlights too.

Seen fair few classics with expanding foam in the sills and archs lol

One step Beyer than Fibre glass and newspaper

Least it looks solid though and can be solved quite easy wire wheel and bit of da Sander :) etc
