No, its not cut away, but its as far back as it could go. I had a love/HATE relationship with that car:lol:

It wasnt very radical, 600cfm 4-bbl., 280Hp 5.7 Chevy motor. T-5 transmission.
It was fast in a straight line, but lost the secure feeling of a stock Z in the corners.

That's what i'm working on in mine at the moment although the weight on the front was actually reduced by about 20-30kg swapping to the small block. Looking forward to getting it back on the road with the new subframe setup to see what it feels like

Your engine weight was reduced because you are talking about replacing the engine in a Z32 right? What small block are you putting in? In the first gen Z's putting in a cast iron GM V8 adds about 100lbs.
