Great stuff Adam. Will the front end have the standard issue Euro/ GB spoiler lip attached to the valence? Are you putting back the rear spoiler lip ? (though I guess if the tailgate holes have already been drilled and prepped then you'll run with a spoiler).

Car is now fully welded and in for paint prep!

Still not decided on a bloody colour! I have about a week left until they are ready! I'm thinking a pale 240Z yellow at the moment....

They have a HDR effect on them mate. I promise it's real and I haven't sketched them out!

Rotisserie is the restorers! Don't think he could have done the work without it to be honest!

Still having a moral dilemma on colour but its pretty much ready for it.

Hey Guys,

Still not too much progress at the moment.... however I've decided on a colour! Its going Safari Gold.

I've also ordered a Safety Devices half cage for a little peace of mind against putting it on its roof and I've ordered my BC Coilovers.

The engine bay is now in primer and the car should be done in the next week or so (primer)

Ive also bought a new Nissan work truck in the best colour available ;)

Here are some photos of the car as it stands:

I've also picked up another 260Z.... this one will be partly an aid to putting mine back together and then once mine is done, either get restored or broken for spares. It is rather rusty though as its a UK car!

Where do all these RHD ones for resto keep turning up?! Surely they can't be still being unearthed?!

Obviously going to need some work but a great project to have ...

how do you rate the np300?

I love it to bits Franky. Theres some annoying little bits with it, mainly surrounding the media/radio but other than that its spot on.

Towing that 260Z back from Norwich at 60-70 it did about 34mpg and on a very gentle run on A roads down to Portsmouth I got 42mpg average.

Also had a LWB Tranny on it the other day and it pulled it absolutely no issues whatsoever.

It was actually advertised on here! Apparently the old owner used to be a very well known member?

Its much worse than the one I am restoring though. Ill see what I think when I start stripping it when mine is done. I'm becoming a little like TEL240Z.... on a much smaller and less skilled level!!!

I would hazard a guess the MAM (Maximum absolute Mass) is well exceeded, those who work in old money (Gross Train Weight)

You think that a Navara and a long wheelbase Transit on a 780kg trailer exceed 8250kg, which is MAM. I think not grolls, not by a long shot.

The Transit on the trailer is about 3.1T and the Navara legally pulls 3.5T.

Legal in every aspect I believe , but thanks for your concern!

I didn't look it up as I didn't know what the vehicle specs were , nor did I know what was in them.... but invoked thought.... that was the idea ;)
