Mk1 metric wheel tyre size

Just had a spare alloy wheel refurbed but had to ditch the metric tyre as it had to be cut off. Probably been in there since new. Anyways, has anyone got an idea of a decent size tyre to fit? I believe it’s a 15” so maybe 205/50/15 ??? Cheers for your help.

In my experience (1980s Michelin TRX) metric tyres are fitted to metric wheels so you may need another metric tyre, or get a new wheel and tyre?

Cheers I kept this 1 from a prefacelift I had years ago. If didn’t think it would come out so well. I’ll speak to my tyre dealer

Instead of 14" or 15" etc the diameter of metric wheels is usually in mm so will need the appropriate tyre.

Your tyre guy should be able to help, assuming he's old enough to know about metric wheels/tyres!
