Below York, and that's the last hint I'm giving.

It's mine!
Located near Selby, North Yorkshire.
After 18 years and 8 Porsches I had a 'rest' from speed for a couple of years then ended up buying a Mercedes 500SL for cruising, I still have the 500SL. A lack of excitement meant looking for something that could bring some sparkle back into driving and I looked at all sorts - Elans, Delta Integrales and so on. The search led me (via DDK) to MikeB and his stunning 240Z.
Suffice to say that a deal was done and last weekend I drove the Z from Northern Ireland to North Yorkshire, a distance of 250 miles. A 4.5 hour wholly uneventful journey, the Z just performed magnificently 2 up with a boot full of luggage and spares.
Another 100 miles on Sunday, just for the hell of it. Called in to visit a Porsche club gathering near Leeds, mainly new'ish metal so no great interest for me (I prefer early Pork).
The Z garnered more interest than some of the Porsches, despite being in a seperate car park, and I was faced with 2 offers from people asking it it was for sale (declined, obviously).
The Z is a lovely car and is a credit to MikeB's prepping and cherished ownership. I hope to use the car a lot and to continue its' life as an iconic sports car of the '70's (I'm old enough to recall watching Z's in action on the RAC rallies in the 70's!)

I've no doubt I will be asking for help and/or advice on this forum during my ownership. Please be kind to me - I'm definitely a novice Z owner

Welcome Mick and yes you now have a great Datsun 240Z. I have watched it fly up the roads on the Craigantlet Hill Climb and lucky enough to sit beside Mike as he give it a quick blast up a road near me so I will miss it on the Norn Irelands roads.

Mike hope our path's cross again some day soon and good luck racing the German machine you have.

Congrats. As I have said before, it was pictures of OKJ in a great feature in Classics magazine a few years back that led me to go looking for a Z of my own. Sure you will love it - and it will turn more heads than a Porsche wherever you go. Enjoy!
