Folks, many thanks for your kind words.
Anyway to get an idea of why I was interested in cars from an early age and also why I approach things from a practical and 'cost effective'
way of doing things you might find this interesting. Dad built his first car because after the war nothing was available at a reasonable price and being a cooper (barrel maker) money was scarce.
I'm in the last pic with my twin sister and elder sister.

Hi Rob, I'll check with Steve Burns our Treasurer to see what the situation is at 'our end'. Do you still have the SO in place at 'your end'.
It may turn out just to be a 'ploy' to eliminate you from the F1 Comp this year.
That's exactly what I thought too Rob!... that Burns chap will try anything!!....

Some of you may find this funny:
Recently we went to the Co-op in Stone, Dad in his electric wheelchair and me walking behind controlling it with the joystick on a cable. We got in the shop and I left Dad inside whilst I went out to get a basket. When I went back in a crowd had gathered and he was going round and round on the spot! It was like a comedy sketch. I’d put the controller behind his shoulder and it had fallen over whilst still switch on!

Sorry to hear of your loss Rob. 95 is a good age to get to, especially with marbles intact! My Dad went 15 years ago this year and the awkward whatnot still hasn't sent us a postcard. I miss him - he'd love tinkering with Z's I'm sure. Sincere condolences to you and your family.
