Has anyone used the maxpeeding conrods in their engine.

Hi Ben, if you type maxpeeding in the search box (top right) you'll get about 6 results. Mainly about weight though.

hi rob, I have been in contact with them but their understanding of my question is not good.

I need to know the outside measurements of the big end area to make sure it will clear the crankcase due to the extra stroke. The measurements they have given are way out

I've got a set for my stroker build, still in their box. I can measure one at lunchtime if that helps?

Width of big end area is 80mm (more like 80.5 actually, but the battery is low in my digital micrometer, so going off the scale).
Height of the edges, including stud head, 47mm.

Thanks, those measurements make more sense.

I've been using the maxspeeding rods for 6000km with no issues (L31) . The big end doesn't clear the crankcase, around 0.5-1mm of material has to be removed from the block (main oil gallery cyl 2+3 IRC). After that, you have enough clearance (>1mm).

Thanks, I have already done this and have been running the engine for years. Just wanted to know if I could drop these rods in without any further grinding of the crankcase.

Appreciate the photos and info though. It all helps
