It is with overwhelming sadness that I inform you of the news that Martin "Martinmac" Macdonald passed away early this evening following a short illness.

Martin was a key part of the 350Z forum from the very start and indeed the overall Z community for many years and will be greatly missed.

I feel I as privileged to be able to have known Martin for the last few years and I will miss him greatly

My thoughts are with his wife Liz at this sad time and offer her my condolences

Rest easy there Martin RIP

Such sad news. He was so welcoming and friendly at Lakez - an event into which he put so much hard work. Condolences to his family. A lovely guy and a true gent. A great loss to the Z Club.

What tragic news. I am shocked.

I first met Martin at Zedfest (Nottingham), he was in a little group and invited me to join them and pulled up a chair for me' what a gent.

He also sorted my accommodation at my first LakeZ.

And last but not least he gave me the 'nod' when a 350Z engine was 'up for grabs'.

I didn't realise he had this illness, I though his problem was with his eyesight.

Very very sad.

On Monday 14 Dec 2015 I attended Cark church along with about 200 other people to say goodbye to Martin. This was a two day trip for me but worth it to pay my respects to a great friend and a True Zedder. Fortunately the weather set fine and it was a pleasant service with two very nice speeches about him ending with his burial in the church graveyard. There was a wake, held of course in the pub over the road from his house, and I am told his 'office', a lean to and table on the pub patio where he planned his LakeZ events is to be preserved in his memory. Liz held up very well on this emotional day.

Martin worked tirelessly to promote the Z Club along with the 350Z forum and his presence on the forums and at events will be sadly missed.

Gosh i've only just seen this and didn't know Martin had passed away.
About 4 years ago I bought an alloy wheel from a guy in London and Martin arranged for one of his friends to collect it and bring it up to a car show he was attending in the Lake District.
Yet Martin and I were total strangers. He was just happy to help. A real gent.
